Welcome to Ozen Resort Bhutan! We are committed to providing a memorable and personalized experience for every guest. To ensure transparency and mutual understanding, please review the following policies, which outline the rights and responsibilities of both our resort and our valued guests.
1. RESERVATIONS
- Booking Confirmation: Reservations are confirmed only upon receipt of payment or a valid credit card guarantee.
- Group Reservations: For bookings of three or more villas (maximum 12 guests), specific terms may apply, and an additional deposit may be required. Please contact us for details.
- Last-Minute Bookings: Reservations made within 30 days of arrival require full payment at the time of booking.
2. PAYMENT
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total booking amount is required at the time of reservation.
- Full Payment: The remaining balance must be paid 60 days prior to arrival during the high season (April, May, June, September, October, and November) and 15 days prior to arrival during the low season.
- Payment Methods: We accept cash (local and major international currencies), credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express), and bank transfers.
- Taxes and Fees: All rates are subject to applicable government taxes and service charges as per Bhutan regulations.
- Exchange Rate: Foreign currency conversion is subject to the daily exchange rate set by the resort, and fees may apply.
3. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
- STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY (HIGH SEASONS):
- 60+ days before arrival: Full refund minus a small processing fee.
- 30-59 days before arrival: 50% refund or a 75% credit towards a future stay within one year.
- Less than 30 days before arrival: No refund.
- STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY (LOW SEASONS):
- 15+ days before arrival: Full refund minus a small processing fee.
- 7-14 days before arrival: 50% refund or a 75% credit towards a future stay within one year.
- Less than 7 days before arrival: No refund.
FORCE MAJEURE: In cases of natural disasters, political unrest, or other events beyond our control, cancellation policies may be relaxed at the discretion of management.
4. CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
- Check-in Time: From 2:00 PM
- Check-out Time: By 12:00 PM
- Early Check-in and Late Check-out: Subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Please inform us in advance if you require these services.
- Identification: Guests must present valid government-issued identification or passports at the time of check-in.
5. GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES
- To ensure a harmonious and enjoyable stay for all our guests, we kindly request that you:
- Respect Bhutanese Culture and Traditions: Bhutan has a rich cultural heritage. Please be mindful of local customs and traditions during your stay. Dress modestly when visiting religious sites, and refrain from public displays of affection.
- Respect the Environment: Bhutan is known for its pristine natural beauty. Please help us preserve it by disposing of waste properly, conserving water, and avoiding any actions that may harm the environment.
- Respect Other Guests: Please be considerate of other guests and refrain from any behavior that may disturb their peace and tranquility.
- Comply with Resort Rules and Regulations: Please familiarize yourself with our resort rules and regulations, which are designed to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.
- Damage to Property: Guests will be held liable for any damage caused to resort property during their stay.
- Personal Belongings: The resort is not liable for the loss of personal items unless they are stored in the resort’s safety deposit boxes. Guests are advised to take necessary precautions.
- Behavior: Guests must maintain decorum and respect the peaceful atmosphere of the resort. Management reserves the right to evict guests displaying disruptive behavior without a refund.
6. LIABILITY & SAFETY
- RESORT LIABILITY:
- The resort is not responsible for injuries, illnesses, or accidents occurring due to negligence on the part of the guest.
- The resort is not liable for cancellations or delays caused by circumstances beyond its control (e.g., natural disasters or transportation issues).
- GUEST LIABILITY: Guests are responsible for the safety of minors in their care. The resort is not liable for any incidents involving children.
- HEALTH AND SAFETY: Guests are encouraged to disclose any medical conditions or dietary restrictions during booking so we can make appropriate arrangements.
7. PET POLICY
- Pets are not permitted at the resort, with the exception of certified service animals. Please notify us in advance if you plan to bring a service animal.
8. ENVIRONMENTAL & CULTURAL RESPONSIBILITY
- Eco-Friendly Practices: Ozen Resort is committed to sustainability. We encourage guests to minimize water and energy consumption and to participate in waste segregation.
- Respect Local Culture: We ask that guests respect Bhutanese customs and traditions during their stay, particularly during cultural ceremonies and visits to sacred sites.
9. CHILDREN & ADDITIONAL GUESTS
- Children: Children under 6 years stay free when sharing existing bedding with parents. Extra beds are available at an additional cost and are subject to availability.
- Additional Guests: Maximum occupancy per villa must be adhered to. Extra guests will incur additional charges as per resort policy.
10. PRIVACY POLICY
- Guest Data: The resort collects personal information for reservation and communication purposes. This information will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
- CCTV Surveillance: The resort premises are under CCTV surveillance for guest safety and security.
11. SPECIAL REQUESTS & ADD-ONS
Special requests such as villa location preferences, dietary requirements, or customized experiences are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
12. DISPUTES & GOVERNING LAW
In the unlikely event of a dispute, Bhutanese law will apply, and the matter will be resolved in the jurisdiction of Bhutan.
13. AMENDMENTS
We reserve the right to amend this policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website.
